How To Give Through The Tin Cup Challenge
During the Giving Period each summer, you can give as a community donor or a Challenger. Community donors make a single designated gift, with their chosen amounts allocated to specific nonprofits they wish to support. Challengers and Friends of the Challenge provide undesignated funding to partially match the designated gifts of community donors, substantially increasing the impact of each participating organization's fundraising efforts.
As a Tin Cup Donor, making direct designated gifts:
- 100% of your donation goes to the nonprofits of your choice.
- Provide funding to promote and support the charitable mission of your organizations.
- Simplify giving by making a single payment to the Community Foundation of Teton Valley on behalf of local nonprofits.
Both ways of giving are intrinsic to our philanthropic model.

Support Your Community With A Gift During The Tin Cup Challenge
Challengers are a special group of businesses and individuals who give $1,500 or more to the Challenger Fund annually. Challengers are community leaders who promote charitable giving and intrinsically value Teton Valley's nonprofits. The generosity of our Challengers inspires increased community giving and is the key to the Tin Cup Challenge's success.
Gifts to the Challenger Fund are used to directly benefit local nonprofits by:
- Providing a partial Match Grant for participating nonprofits for funds raised during the Giving Period.
- Covering costs associated with the 6-week Giving Period and Event Day, ensuring nonprofits receive 100% of their designated donations.
- Funding the Community Foundation of Teton Valley's Competitive Grant Program, Youth Philanthropy, and Nonprofit Workshops for board and staff.
Our Tin Cup Challenger Giving
Six Weeks Of Giving
During the 6-week Tin Cup giving period, donors give directly to their favorite local nonprofits — knowing their gifts will be partially matched by our Challenger Fund.
Challengers are generous individuals and businesses who contribute $1,500 or more. Their support not only increases the impact of every gift but also funds the Foundation's Competitive Grants, Youth Philanthropy Program, and nonprofit workshops, ensuring year-round impact.
Thanks to Challengers, 100% of every designated gift goes to nonprofits, plus a powerful match that multiplies community generosity.
